I take it that upgrading won't alter the sound of my saved patches in any way ? I'm a bit nervous as I have a lot of my own patches saved that are used in many tracks of mine.

I've just found out I can upgrade for free as I purchased ver.1 this year, Thanks U-He but sometimes it's nice to just get a sound and move on with the writing. I like tinkering in things Zebra, FM8, etc. and the thing is, I usually roll my own presets and rarely use factory sounds. YMMV of course, but for me, this was a big selling point. Helps that 99% of it is a sweet spotĪnd IMO, this has the best overall factory presets of any U-he synth. The other thing I'm enjoying is how fast it is to get a good sound of this synth.

I've been playing around with the wavetable position using the shape sequencers and function generators, mod matrix curves, etc. It's going to take some experimenting to really unearth the potential - but even just a few minutes of use makes the potential clear. The modulators seem simple on their own, but once you start getting them to interact, some pretty magical stuff starts happening. The new modulation system really opens up the synth. Hive 2 is stupidly good! I had pretty much ignored v1, but v2 is awesome. Ctrl A/B now working correctly in VST3 version.VST3 was reporting only one MIDI channel to the host.Improved sustain pedal behaviour when playing same note repeatedly.Sustain pedal now working according to standard (0-63 = off, 64-127 = on).Improved mouse drag sensitivity for Ctrl A/B selection on MIDI table page.Rare crash when trying to reopen a host project fixed.Strict host sync could cause too early or cut off notes.Modulating clock swing could cause unexpected results.Selecting init preset does not switch folder selection anymore.Compressor parameters smoothed to avoid zipper noise.Newly added presets now easily findable through saved search entry.Modulation overview/unassignment via right-click on parameters.Mod Assigners for visual feedback of assigned modulations.
